The following Cell Culture and Microscopy services are currently provided by this core:

1) Primary and experimentally immortalized human skin fibroblast and keratinocyte cell lines and squamous cell carcinoma cell lines

2) Initiation of new primary skin-derived cell lines from humans with inherited diseases or syndromes and genetically modified mice.

3) Starter samples of specialized media formulations and pre-tested serum for various cell types.

4) Training in cell culture and advice on design of experiments using primary skin cells.

5) Training and access to a fluorescence microscope and digital camera system.
